5They are worth every dime!
By Taher Youssef Kubbaj
I installed those flares on my '00 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. They fit perfectly. Although since I have never installed them before it took a while to install the rubber strip on the fenders. You have to make sure that you don't waste any as the strip they provide is barely enough for the whole set. Another thing I noticed when re-installing the side markers on the front flares, you will need to trim the inside edges of the flare so the markers could fit.
Overall rating, I am more than satisfied with how my jeep looks like now. Where ever I go I turn eyes towards me.

Cheers,
Taher

3Not Bad
By Robert M. Kirwan
-I put these on my 98 Jeep Wrangler Sport as I was looking to replace the crappy extender flares that the previous owner had glued on. I have extra wide tires and no real lift thus far to speak of. Because I haven't got a lift and extra wide tires, merely going over a curve causes my front wheel to hit the flare. There is tons of room in the back. If I were to do it over again I would probably go with the cut out design instead of the pocket. The 6" of coverage these babies offer do the job of keeping the mud and rocks where they should be. The pocket design looks OK but I find when I drive in the rain, water and grit from the inside squeezes out through the the screw holes and puddles in the pockets. No big deal to me but I thought it worth mentioning. I expected a bit more rugged/ solid construction for the price and think the material is a bit flimsy.

-I had a bit of a problem with installation and reccomend you purchase some extra X-mas tree fitting s before you remove the rear rock guards from the wheel well for nut access. You will break some.

-My major problem which had nothing to do with the product was the riveted-in body screws on the rear of my Jeep kept spinning so I had to drill them out. Well since I had to drill all of them out except for two I was short some nuts for the provided screws. One of the drilled out holes had to be filled with an epoxy resin aka bondo-like substance capable of holding the screw in place because I couldnt find a sufficient substitute to hold in the screw and had no access to the back.

-Overall they look pretty.

497-06 Wrangler pocket flares
By Frank
I've owned a few sets of Bushwackers cut-out fender flares over the years and have always loved them. Having just bought a 2000 Wrangler, I started on the modifications. There are many of the same style fender flares out there, but I read the reviews and figured I should spend the money for the best out there.

Same great Bushwacker fit and finish, these have exposed stainless bolts instead of the caps that Bushwacker used to use. I like this better, but I found out on the last flare that they only give you exactly enough stainless bolts for the VISIBLE bolt heads, all of the hidden ones are supposed to use the old hardware. Same goes for clips, if you break off any bolts you have to head to the hardware store to get nuts and bolts. For 400 dollar flares they could have supplied all new hardware!

Only other thing I didnt like was that these cover more of the fender than stock flares in most parts, but some places is covers less This left a line wh ere the 11 year paint had a fender flare covering it. Not that big of a deal, but I am picky and was not expecting that at all, every other flares I ever bought covered more than the stock ones.

Installation was not terrible except for drilling/grinding all of the rusted off bolts that I had to go and buy replacements for then trying to get a nut in the backside with little to no access.
